Babesia is an ancient cattle disease. It is found in livestock, wildlife, humans, and pets around the world. The first case in the U.S. was a man in the San Francisco Bay area in 1967. So the CDC has known about it for 55 yrs but didn't do anything about it. The first case of Lyme was in Wisconsin in 1969. A Dermatologist diagnosed the bullseye rash on a grouse hunter. The CDC didn't do anything about it. Lyme is Borrelia. All Ticks and their diseases are ancient.
